ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING
TRUST-FUNDED PREPLANNED FUNERALS

On April 28, 2023 Dana Jardine of Bell's Funeral Home and Peter Davidson of Davidson's Funeral Service announced the merging of their businesses. The combined business is now operating at the Davidson's location, 597 Old King George Highway, Miramichi, NB. The former Bell's location has now closed.

Dana Jardine is the owner/manager of the newly amalgamated business, incorporated as Jardine Funeral Home Ltd. and operating as Davidson's & Bell's Funeral Home.

In light of these changes, we wanted to address the matter of prearranged funeral plans that were on file with either funeral home and assure all plan holders that their arrangements and any prepaid funding - insurance or trust - remain in place and are secure.

SPECIAL NOTE TO TRUST-FUNDED ARRANGEMENT HOLDERS

All funds held in trust for funeral expenses by either funeral home will now be transferred to Jardine Funeral Home Ltd. and trusts formerly held by Davidson's Funeral Service will now be assigned, for administrative purposes, to Dana Jardine as holder of the firm's prearrangement license. Please note that this notification is a regulatory requirement designed to protect you and it does not affect the arrangements you've made in any way. The services you have contracted for will be provided as you have requested and any guarantee of price you have received remains in place.

Because both funeral plans and funds you've placed in trust are, and remain, yours, we want to ensure that you are aware of these changes and invite you to contact us if you have questions.
